Affiliate Disclosure

This page explains how WorkRemoteTools.org makes money and what that means for you — written in plain English, not legalese.

The short version

🔗

Some links on this site are affiliate links — we earn a small commission if you buy.

💸

You never pay more. Commissions come from the retailer, not your wallet.

We only recommend tools we’ve genuinely researched and believe in.

🚫

Commissions never change our verdict. A bad product stays off this site.

🔍

What is an affiliate link?

When you click a product link on WorkRemoteTools.org and make a purchase, we may receive a small referral commission from the retailer at no extra cost to you. This is called affiliate marketing — it’s a standard, transparent way for content publishers to earn revenue while keeping the site free for readers.

Affiliate links look and work identically to regular links. The only difference is that the URL contains a tracking code identifying WorkRemoteTools.org as the referral source. When a sale happens through that link, the retailer credits us a percentage of the sale — typically between 1% and 10% depending on the product category.

You can always identify affiliate content on this site by the disclosure notice near the top of pages and posts that contain affiliate links.

Our editorial principles

Affiliate income only works long-term if readers trust the recommendations. Here’s exactly how we maintain that trust:

01

Research before recommendation

Every product on this site has been researched through hands-on testing, verified user reviews, expert comparisons, and real-world remote work use cases. We don’t recommend products we wouldn’t use ourselves or suggest to a colleague.

02

Commission doesn’t influence ranking

A product’s affiliate commission rate plays zero role in whether it appears on this site, how it’s ranked, or what we say about it. Higher-commission products are not rated higher. Lower-commission products are not excluded. The best product for remote workers wins — period.

03

We include products with no affiliate program

If a product is the best option in its category and has no affiliate program, we still include it. You’ll find non-affiliate recommendations throughout this site because our job is to help you find the right tool, not to earn a commission on every click.

04

Prices and availability change — we try to keep up

Product prices, deal availability, and affiliate program terms can change without notice. We aim to keep recommendations current but always verify pricing at the retailer before purchasing. Amazon prices in particular can fluctuate daily.

05

We disclose clearly and consistently

Affiliate disclosures appear at the top of every page and post containing affiliate links — not buried in footers or hidden in fine print. This page exists as a permanent, comprehensive reference you can return to at any time.

⚖️ FTC Compliance

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on endorsements and testimonials in advertising (16 C.F.R. Part 255). The FTC requires that material connections between a publisher and any product or brand they mention must be clearly disclosed. Our use of affiliate links constitutes such a material connection, and this page — along with the disclosures on individual posts — fulfills that requirement. If you have any questions about how a specific recommendation was reached or whether a particular link is an affiliate link, please contact us directly.
